Fabulous over 50s Support Group
20/08/2024
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Join us via Zoom for our Fabulous over 50’s Support Group. This month we will be joined by guest speaker Lauren Young, an accredited exercise physiologist and cancer exercise trainer, to discuss Exercise and Cancer-Related Fatigue.
Lauren will be talking about why exercise makes you feel better, even when you are feeling fatigued from cancer treatment. She will talk about the science we have around the benefits of exercise during treatment, and how to get started, even if you feel like you can’t get off the couch!

A diagnosis of breast cancer can bring many challenges and sometimes we might not feel that fabulous. Whether you have just turned 50 or are beyond, this group is for you.
In this group you will have an opportunity to meet others who are travelling a similar life path and to share your experiences. This group offers women a chance to connect with others, learn coping strategies and gather information. We discuss how we can best support you through this journey. The sessions are a safe space to share, learn and help each other get through this hurdle. The sessions are run by our Breast Care Nurse Consultant Jamie Kelly and we are often joined by a guest speaker to offer their expertise on a particular breast cancer topic or health related topic.
